The Storyteller narrates the story of María Margarita, a girl who grows up in a nitrate mining camp in northern Chile, in an environment marked by hardship and neglect. Her gift for retelling films—recreating with her body, voice, and imagination the stories she sees in the cinema—makes her the center of a community that finds in her a way to endure the harshness of life. The work addresses themes such as memory, imagination, loss, and the capacity of art to transform reality. Aesthetically, the proposal is characterized by a scenic language that fuses theater, cinema, animation, and music. Through a sophisticated multimedia setup, the stage is transformed into a dynamic space where images interact in real time with the actors, generating an immersive sensory experience.
