From June 12th to June 25th, the program "2023 Migratory Birds 300" will take place again on the seaside in Aranya. Curated under the metaphoric concept of "migratory bird", "Migratory Birds 300" is a collaborative public art program that thrives to bring together 300 creators to live and work together by the seaside for 300 hours. This program is designed to be a marathon of creativity, experimentation, and collaboration. It was initiated by Liu Chang, Zhu Sha, Zheng Jing, and Chen Minghao, and has been a part of the Aranya Theater Festival since 2013.
In 2021, "Migratory Bird 300" initiated an innovative performance platform and exchange
network at the Aranya Theater Festival. Through this platform, the project has been aiming to create a "life-creative-practice-expression" means of trajectory. It brings together an artistic community of shared destiny and explores the boundaries of art and the everyday through collective wisdom and creative power.
"Migratory Bird 300" is a program defined by all the participating artists, in 2023 we are expecting more possibilities from the new round of artists. 2023 Migratory Bird 300, Redefining, Happening.
In this year's OPEN Call , we received a total of 545 groups of works, with a total of 1,946 artists participating. Among them, 144 groups of theatre works and 781 artists; 129 groups of installation/sculpture works and 337 artists; 86 groups of performance works and 319 artists; 68 groups of painting/design works and 114 artists; 58 groups of video/photography works and 145 artists; 24 groups of music works and 124 artists; 19 groups of life art works and 76 artists; Poetry/Text 9 groups of 20 artists; Workshop 3 groups of 8 artists; Architecture 2 groups of 6 artists; Magic 2 groups of 2 artists; Opera 1 group of 14 artists.

Co-held by the Migratory Birds 300 X Canal Dream CIC X Slash Arts, the "Migratory Birds - Sleepwalk" is a collaborative and migratory project that will be taking place on the Regent's Canal in London, UK, simultaneously parallel to the program held at the main venue in Aranya. Using the waterways of the UK as a framework, and the Regent's Canal in London as a landing place, "Migratory Birds 300" will connect the vitality and dreams of artists from all over the world.

2026候鸟沙城，缘起候鸟科技委员会一篇核心理念论文，由马岩松操刀设计营建、刘畅全程策划落地。今年，定为候鸟科技元年。整座沙城的搭建内核，正是对《Attention Is All You Need》最诗意的现实落地：注意力，即是一切所需；专注，即是全部结构；联结，即是城市本身。2017年这篇经典论文，彻底颠覆了AI世界的底层逻辑：摒弃繁复循环架构、舍弃冗余层级叠加，仅凭「注意力机制」，便可完成理解、关联、生成万物。
沙城DESIGNER
Ma Yansong, an architect and artist, is the founding partner of MAD Architects and the first Chinese architect to achieve landmarks overseas. He is also the most internationally influential Chinese architect.
He founded MAD Architects in 2004, and his designs cover public buildings such as art museums, grand theaters and concert halls, as well as mixed-use buildings and urban regeneration, with projects all over the world, including the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, Harbin Grand Theater, China Philharmonic Orchestra Concert Hall, Rotterdam Migrant Art Museum, Echigo Tsumari Tunnel in Japan, and unic in Paris. He is also active in exploring the cultural value of cities and architecture through a series of academic activities such as teaching, art creation, curating and publishing, and increasing the discourse and influence of Chinese architects in the world.
Ma graduated from Yale University with a master's degree in architecture and attended the Beijing Architecture and Engineering Institute (now Beijing University of Architecture) as an undergraduate. He has been a visiting professor at Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Architecture, and the University of Southern California.
二零二六，候鸟300首次将「科技」正式纳入核心板块。向科技、互联网、硬件、算法等领域的爱好者、从业者、研究者与跨领域创作者全面开放。过去几年，候鸟300 已聚集了建筑、戏剧、绘画、雕塑、音乐、身体、行为、美食、影像等超过3000位各领域艺术家。在今天，我们希望了解：当下科技发展到了什么程度？可以做些什么？我们可以与科技领域的创作者们一起创造什么？未来，我们还可以共同想象什么？
